Who we are

My name is John Boakye and my interest in sport physiology started in the early 1990’s during my twelve-year career as a semi- professional footballer. Unfortunately, a knee injury halted my career but my interest in the mechanical and electrical bodily functions and how to diagnose and treat the human body soon became my passion.  

After coaching a number of youth teams and an adult team, my knowledge increased and I began to develop others, with great results, by combining my experience with science. My Company, DFD, now works with both children and adults to enhance the capabilities of the mind and body by using proven scientific equipment and techniques. 

I also have twenty two years' experience working as a Medical Engineer and currently a senior manager for a leading London NHS Trust in the medical electronics department. After obtaining a BSc Hons in Electronics and Business I continued studying for an MSc in Medical Electronics and Physics. My thesis was driven by my interest in sports and the anatomy of the human body and my research work focused on Electrical Muscle Stimulation for our patients and the benefits for their health whilst on treatment. I have also been involved in projects looking into the benefits of exercise for patients using an exercise bike to aid blood clearance. I am currently studying for another MSc in Sports and Exercise Psychology and I am also an FA qualified football coach and qualified Strength and Conditioning coach.  

In addition, I have raced superbikes at domestic club level and worked for a professional superbike race team as well as having previously worked part time as a mentor to young offenders. The combination all of these experiences create a unique style for coaching and personal development. 

Currently DFD coaches a number of young football players both at grass roots level and professional academy club level. Currently also working with individuals who are looking for self improvement from weight loss, building confidence and general well-being. DFD is not like any other private coach. We keep our group numbers low to ensure personal focus, enabling pure development at an affordable price. 

DFD have invested in three products, Neuro-Tracker, Fit-Light and CardioWall which have outstanding results and benefits.

I develop individuals, using non-invasive techniques, to develop the physical body and mental thought processes. I am working closely with the companies who are marketing these products around the world as I am very passionate about the potential of the human body if the person is guided and supported in the right way. 

My years of experience in the medical field, combined with my qualifications and working experience, enables DFD to also support and encourage those wanting to tackle weight issues and personal lifestyle, as different psychological approaches are used to achieve great results. 

DFD has clients who are currently achieving their goal based on careful individual analysis.
